Narrative is about a tale, a story, recital or facts. It's the way in which a story is told in both fictional and non-fictional media texts. Narrative has no right or wrong way and it can always be challenged. Narrative story refers to events you can see and those that are inferred. Voices of narrative can vary and the intention of narrative can be different for different stories. Their are multiple key theorists that have explored narrative. Tzventan Todorov-  Todorov was a Bulgarian-French historian, philosopher, structuralist literary critic, sociologist, essayist and geologist. He believed that narrative starts with an equilibrium An action or character disrupts the equilibrium  A quest to restore the equilibrium begins The narrative continues to climax Resolution occurs and equilibrium is restored Todorov also believes that narratives follow in a chronological order. Codes and conventions of magazine review page

Magazine film review pages are set out to review a certain film to audience members who may be interest in the films critics or in seeing the piece themselves. There are set codes and conventions for magazine film review pages which help audience identify them. Examples of magazines which include these would be ‘Empire’ and ‘In cinemas’. Titles/Tagline: Many review pages will identify the title as a major selling point or a way to gain interest into the review. The title usually will be of a large, black font so it is clear to the reader what they are reading about. Typically the colours are natural as it is easier to read.  Taglines often sum up important details from the film and depending on the genre is a sometimes play on words designed to be humorous. Commonly the titles will relate to the reviews, therefore as someone who avidly enjoy films/reviews will be interested. Title Ideas

I have played with multiple ideas for the title of my short film idea. As my short film focuses on mental health problems and awareness, I wanted to ensure my title somehow related to either depression, anxiety or mental health in general. I felt by having this within my chosen title may help the overall perception. However, I don't want something overly obvious to the audience as it could potentially be viewed in the wrong light. By narrowing down my ideas to 4 different titles it has allowed me to further look into the meaning of each. Out of these 4 one will be the title of my short film Breathe: The first title I initially thought about was ‘breathe’. I thought by having a simple one word title injects more of an impact on the audience. Breathe relates to anxiety which is one of the mental health issues my protagonist suffers with, therefore makes sense to use this for a title chose.
